Got Carina all settled in at HealthSouth, a rehab facility to allow her to get intensive physical therapy.

Orange: California; First I had a blog. I got in trouble with a judge over a post or two. So I closed it and started this blog. Mainly to keep in touch with a friend who lived far away. Now that friend has died. But I liked keeping track of my life with small posts and pictures, so I kept it up. Then, my life completely changed on June 16, 2011 when I arrived at my daughter's house to pick up my most beloved grandson and found him unconscious on the floor of his bedroom. Five days later, a week before his 6th birthday, we said goodbye forever and his liver and kidneys were harvested for 3 donors. A year and a half later we finally got the autopsy report that listed his death as having been caused by Chiari Malformation...he was asymptomatic so we had no clue. Now this blog is a way for me to make a new sense of life.
